Twitter Traffic – Is It Really Affective?

By James

Generating twitter traffic can be worth it if done, like most things the right way.

I saw a blog post a couple of weeks ago asking the same sort of thing and my reply was along the lines of, from Alex Jeffreys on twitter I found Dean Holland from Dean on Twitter I found Marcus Passey from Marcus on Twitter I found Sean Beardmore and from a comment you made on Seans blog I found your site so yes Twitter traffic is affective although in my case it was kind of a long way round.

Now I‘ll be honest and as I say it was along those lines but not exactly in those words but I ‘m sure that you can see Twitter traffic can be really affective depending on who is following you and who you follow. Hell my followers jumped up the other week after I had sent a reply to a Tweet from Harris Fellman. He sent one back and of course my name was there to see for all his followers.

Also if you follow to people like I did such as Alex Jeffreys, Mike Filsaime, Brad Fallon, Gary Ambrose, Jason James, and other top marketers. Go through the lists of who they follow, chances are that they are worth a follow too. Now here’s the best bit, when or I should say if these top guys and gals follow you back and other people are doing as above and looking into their follow list, your name will be up there for all to see and from that you will end up with a quite a well targeted Twitter following. As long as you stick within you area of interest of course.

Twitter is not about gaining as many followers as you can and then spamming them as much as you can. Far from it my use of Twitter is about finding people who share an interest and possibly build up working relationships with these people. If you get to know the right people, who knows what could happen. Need JV partners, if you have been doing it right you already have a list of possible JV partners sitting there in you follow list.

Build up relationships by keeping up your tweets, get involved, if someone you follow asks a question, send an answer. Get involved and get noticed

I see lately more and more people using sites that send Tweets for you at set times. I am not against this but what I see is the same Tweet day after day after day. Not good.

Do this and I like others I have asked hit the Remove link.
