Lack of focus

So, in my about page I speak of focus and how important it is well I have to say even I strayed today.

Today I was taking a day off from everything well everything except my children. I wasn’t even going to come near the computer today but it got to 9.00pm, kids are finally asleep in bed (the teething one year old was up latest tonight.) and my wife started watching some sort of show they class as entertainment these days.

So I thought,I have a few thing I could get ready for tomorrows work plan it will only take me a few minutes and I’ll be done. HA…..

A few minutes, I knew I needed a link from an email I opened the emails up and that was it. An hour gone just like that.

I only wanted one link, how hard is it to open up your emails, search for the one you want and then get the hell outta there. Just the one email caught my eye about a giveaway I was going to join and I thought, ooh I meant to do that the other day. 

I have  just spent an hour looking through the whole of the giveaway downloads. The worst of it is and I realised this  as soon as I joined up, I did not join as a contributor so I still need to go back to my emails and this time find the right link and join again. Then I will probably spend another hour searching for new products or maybe checking to see if I missed a good one. I think I’ll leave it for another day and write in 5 minutes for it in my plan.

I downloaded 2 items and I know I will only use one of those and I will only use that if I set it up now otherwise it will get pushed to a file that I think I’m going to rename it “the file that time forgot-Please delete me and put me out of my misery as I’m getting to full of %&#* now”. Not the shortest of file names but quite well suited I think.

Where was I. Ah yes I was talking about focus of course or lack of it I should say. It’s now 10.15pm I am sitting here writing something I did not plan to write and still not getting done what I wanted to get done. I have also added to my workload with the item I downloaded as I now have to spend my off time setting this up.

Or I might just file it get the kettle on and see whats on the tv in here instead, got a game on the ds I need to finish too.

I don’t know might just go to bed but the chances are that you will probably find me not only here but in the warrior forum and on twitter tonight instead.

So remember Focus,focus and focus – If you haven’t planed for it don’t do it.
