A whole day with out email

By James

Just managed to get to 11pm without checking my email and I managed to stay focused so much more.

I also got a load of work done that I have been meaning to do for some time, there are so many distractions once you open the email up that you or I at least can go through have the day chatting, checking out the offers to see how they are marketing and just generally finding out what’s new and being promoted.

I guess what i’m saying is to get things done you need to cut out the distractions wether it’s checking your email to having the tv on in the background(another one of my bad habits), the more of it you cut out the more work you will get done.

So turn off the tv close that email down and get to work.

Try to set yourself time limits to get things done and you will  find you will get them done quicker if your against the clock. So if your going to write an article set yourself a time limit of say 20 mins then do your best.

If you are just starting out and/or not to good at the writing then set yourself a higher limit but not too high hey, that’s cheating :-)

Even if you set a low limit you will be suprised at how much you will get done within the time you set and quite often by doing this into the flow of things and get 2 or 3 articles out instead of just the one in the set time.

Give it a try, start by setting yourself an hour to get your work done what ever it might be and after the hour reward yourself and take a break and I don’t mean a break to check that mail. Step away from the computer clear you head and then hell get back to it for you next set limit.

NOW GET TO WORK FOOL,

Take it easy
